Polly the Registered Manager for Support Unlimited UK received an invitation to attend a prestigious event at No 10, and the agenda for the day was ‘’Reception for Adult Social Care Workers’ on the 17th of August 2023.
The reception was mainly to honour the work of Social Care staff and unpaid Care Workers. In attendance was the Minister of State for Social Care, Helen Whately. The MP thanked the team for all their hard work, and she introduced the Chief nurse for Adult Social Care, Deborah Sturdy. Polly said that it was a privilege to have an opportunity to discuss the lack of funding for training for international recruits with the MP. In closing, Polly said ‘’What an exciting time to be alive and gain recognition as the Adult Social Care Sector’.
